Group Presentation Response (Wrong guy Slap video)

Of all the presentations the one that stood out among them all (with the exception of my own) was group 3. One the presenters was a classmate of mine by the name of Andrew Abuan. The presentation was of the video shown below....

Wrong Guy Slap!!!!!!!!!!!

The group continually presented the video roughly 5 or 6 times. Each time the video was set to different music, allowing the audience to percieve the video differently with each viewing and with varying emotion. For example rap music "amped" the audience up, while the Looney Tunes theme made it almost comedic.

Im assuming this would fall under The Power of Context. Sound, Sight, and Motion tells us that "Many of our perceptions are guided if not dictated by the event context." (Zettl 8). It comes down to assocciative context. The music sets a tone for how the viewere should respond. For example, we associate the Looney Tunes Music with humor and levity so when that particular theme is played we (the audience) see this as funny, rather than what it is; One boy Slapping the hell out of another. In most cases it would be taken seriously, but the music dictated our reaction.
